1. The short version
- You can browse Dukandam and send orders without an account.
- We never ask customers for their name or phone number.
- Your WhatsApp chat with a shop is between you and the shop. We do not read it.
2. What we collect from customers
When you send an order, we keep a record of the items, the estimated total, the shop and a reference number, so the shop can see its orders and we can count them. We do not keep the text of your note to the shop.
We also collect basic, anonymous usage information, such as pages visited and products viewed, to understand what is popular and to improve the website.
3. What we collect from shop owners
When you list a shop, we collect your name, email address, phone number and your shop details, including the shop's WhatsApp number, address, opening hours, photos and products. Shop details are shown publicly so customers can find you. Your email address is never shown publicly.
4. How we use information
- To show shops and products to customers.
- To pass orders to shops on WhatsApp.
- To check shops before they go live and keep the website safe.
- To understand how Dukandam is used and make it better.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar tools that keep the website working, for example to remember the items in your order on your device. If analytics is switched on, we use it to see anonymous visit counts.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the services that run the website, such as hosting and database providers, and when the law requires it.
7. How long we keep information
We keep order records and shop details for as long as they are needed to run Dukandam. Shop owners can ask us to close their account and remove their shop.
8. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting the Dukandam team.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
